We've Moved...

Hi everyone,

It's official! We've moved... our new address is www.kendallkids.blogspot.com .
Mum is still setting it up but hope to have it up and running soon after our little brother or sister comes home with some new pics of course! We won't be posting here anymore so if you're looking at us through a reader you'll need to change the address you've subscribed to.

Look forward to more Kendall Kid adventures soon! :-)

Coming Soon!

It looks like all that talk of a 'baby coming to our house soon' is going to be pretty soon! We've been busy getting lots of things ready for the new baby...

I helped Mum set up the baby's new bed...

... well, it's not all that 'new'. Fletch and I both slept in it when we were babies. It was also used by lots of our cousins and our Mum when she was a baby. In fact, our Pa even slept in it when he was a baby too!
So we've been getting it ready by putting on some sheets and a blanket...

... and of course no bed is complete without a teddy! This one is mine - it's on loan until our little brother or sister gets one of their own.

Looks comfy, don't you think?

See you soon, baby!

At home

We've been having some fun at home lately...

I've just leaned how to ride my bike! So now I can give Ali races (he he he...)...

You won't catch me, Sis! The camera isn't even quick enough to get me in focus - that's how fast I am!!

Oh really?

Well, I can always get her back with some 'water play' because...

I'm a champion splasher!

I even suprise myself how good I am sometimes... Hey Ali! Come back here for a sec!

Alinfletch soon to be Kendallkids

Hello everyone,

Just thought we'd put a quick post up to tell you that soon we'll be changing the name of our blog. As we've got a new arrival coming soon to the Kendall Kids pages, we thought it appropriate to change our address from www.alinfletch.blogspot.com to www.kendallkids.blogspot.com. So for those of you who subscribe through a reader or have us listed as a favorite or just come along to see what we're up to occasionally, you will need to change the address you visit soon. We'll change addresses at the end of May but hope to have a few more posts before then!

Hope you all had a great long weekend!

Ali and Fletch xo xo

My New Room!!

Today I moved into my very own bedroom, with my new big girl bed!

We went shopping at IKEA this morning. I picked out the rug and the quilt cover set too. What do you think?

This is me pretending to be asleep (I do a pretty good job of this most nights too - it's even less convincing!)...

I've also got a special shelf for some of my toys and books (I think my parents have dilusions that when I wake up in the morning before them, I'll just play quietly in my room if I have some toys nearby.... ha! ha! ha!)

These are my 'bedtime buddies'... they are all looking forward to our first sleep in my big bed tonight too!

Mr Mischief part 2

It would seem that Mum has been following me around with the camera a bit lately, supposedly catching me out doing things I probably shouldn't be doing. Well, I can explain...

... I swear I heard a noise coming from the dryer, so thought I'd check it out...

I'm goin' in!

Ah! Found the problem!!

Maybe kitchen utensils would be best kept in the kitchen?

Ok, well, this is a little harder to explain... but the drawer makes a comfy seat!

... and the view from the coffee table isn't bad either...

Ok, enough pics of me... let's check out what Ali's been up to instead!

The Easter Show!

Ok, so this is a little late but we've had more computer problems combined with a few blog issues but they seem to be resolved now (fingers crossed).

The Easter Show was lots of fun this year (our first time). On arrival, we decided to check out the Dora show...

"Look over there, Dora! It's Ali and Fletch!"

Then we went to see these guys on bikes...

Pretty clever, huh! But what's the point of going to the Easter Show if you're not going to hang out with the animals!

So off we went to find some...

We said hello to this guy (he's from Trundle!)....

... but the goats weren't in such a chatty mood unfortunately...

... and the three little pigs (yes, check out the houses) weren't in much of a talking mood either...

... so instead we chatted with the chooks...

... conversed with the cows ...

... and came across some very well-dressed ducks before deciding it was time to meet some of our new friends up close ...

"Look at me! I'm a goat!!"

I became very popular once I had a cup of food in my hands...

... and Fletch was also keen to check out the chicks (typical boy!) ...

All in all, we had a great day and can't wait to come back next year!

Easter!

Well, our recent computer problems are being fixed (thanks, Daddy!) so we're back. Better late than never, here is our Easter adventure!

On Saturday night, we decided to leave some snacks out for our good friend, the Easter bunny.

Carrot and lettuce seemed like a good choice for a bunny...

Then, next morning, we went in search of evidence that he'd been to visit...

A-ha! Detective Alison is on the case!! Exhibit A: A half-eaten carrot!!!

Her trusty side-kick Fletch found some footprints laying around too...

After following the footprints around the house, we found a few other things too...

Behold! The egg.... I think there's a toy inside this one!

These ones look more interesting to me!

Hmmm... Chocolate!!!

Hope you all had a great Easter too! Stay tuned for our Easter show adventures... coming soon!

Ali's cooking class - cup cakes 101

Looking for inspiration as to what to amuse ourselves with today, we looked no further than my shirt...

Cup cakes! So here's Ali's cooking class - cup cakes 101 (thanks to Taste.com.au for the recipe which you can find here).

First, with a cheery smile, we cream the butter and sugar...

... then, add the eggs (one at a time) ...

... the flour comes next, a little at a time ...

... and the milk ...

After mixing well, a quick taste test of the mix ...

... then into the paper pans ...

... and into the oven!

While the cup cakes are cooking, it's good to use this time to clean up.

Ready! How do they look?

When they are cool, just add some cream cheese frosting (yumo!) and a few "treats"

Then enjoy your afternoon tea with Ali! What do you think, Fletch?

Hmmm... they taste good, Ali, and they may even be ...

... better than Mum's muffins (but don't tell Mum I said that!)
