Busy kids

Hello there... just thought we'd drop in and let you know what we've been up to over the last few weeks...

Fletch has taken to standing up everywhere, including his cot...

... and in front of the television!

As you can see, even though he's 16 months younger than Ali, he's gaining on her in the height department!

He's also prone to getting up to the odd bit of mischeif too!

Meanwhile, Ali continues to explore cutting edge fashion trends...

... and the 'not so cutting edge' 90's fashions as well (Mum's old deb. dress - check out the sleeves!).

And at the end of a busy day, it's always good to relax with some cake!

Our morning out

Hello again! We had a nice morning out yesterday - we went to the park and had lots of fun!


Mum broke the first rule of photographing children outside - don't face into the sun!


Anyway, while I enjoy this tasty piece of bread, check out what Ali is doing over there!

... and the swing is good to!

I like this bike...

... but this thing spins around and is a bit scary.

Hmmm... the bread is good, Fletch, maybe we should leave some to feed the ducks. What do you think, Fletch? Fletch?...

Deck update

Hi! Just thought I'd give you an update on how the deck is going...


We kind of had our doubts that it was ever going to get finished but progress is being made and it should be done for my birthday next month!


As you can see, the decking boards have been put down. They're very comfy to sit on! Much better than the old ones.


Now, if I can just get the camera off Mum, Ali can show you what she's been up to...


Thanks Fletch! Hi everyone. Yes, I've been helping Dad work on the deck. These are the new steps that went in last week!


I've also been helping with the sanding before painting but somehow don't seem to be making much progress...


... oops! Forgot to put the sandpaper on the block!

Making muffins

Today we decided to cook some muffins for morning tea!


First we mixed all the dry ingredients together while Fletch checked the recipe on the back of the cerial box



Just doing a quick inspection and removing any lumps


Oops... I think that bit might have flicked up to the ceiling! Never mind...

Now for the milk and the fruit...

Then lots of 'stir stir stir... mixing!'

Mmmmm.... can't wait for them to cook! I thought I'd see how the picture of the finished product on the back of the box tastes!

Cold snap

Well, it was looking rather summery last week but this week - time for the winter woolies to come back out!


I couldn't find my own warm hat (hence the long face!) so decided to borrow one of Fletch's hats



Actually, I think I like the one he's got on better!
